The hectare helps to compare, but does not explain the project.
Two areas of the same size may have different line lengths, spacings, distances from the water and slopes. A property may have pumping and power available; another may need new infrastructure. Dividing the total value by the area does not make these scopes equivalent.
Ask the budget to identify the area actually served and the premises used. Check whether the calculation considers all plots or just one stage. Future expansion should be discussed as a requirement, without assuming that the initial installation is already prepared for it.
The planting design changes the quantity of materials.
Lines and emitters need to match the crop. Spacing, number of rows per planting strip and arrangement of sectors influence the collection of materials. Therefore, informing only the crop and the number of hectares may be insufficient to specify an installation.
To compare proposals, check if they start from the same design and the same expected wet area. Ask which characteristics of the emitters and piping were considered. Components with similar names may have different requirements; the list should allow you to identify what is being proposed.
Water, pumping and energy are included in the bill.
The water source and its quality guide filtration care. Distances, terrain and hydraulic conditions need to be evaluated as a whole. The use of an existing pump or piping depends on this assessment, and not just on whether the equipment is installed.
An Embrapa study on pasture systems separates acquisition and implementation, maintenance and operation, including energy and labor. This distinction is useful for organizing questions about any proposal without transferring historical prices or results from that study to a current drip project.
What to check in each budget.
Ask that exclusions and responsibilities are also clear. A lower value may correspond to fewer items, another implementation stage or different assumptions. The comparison makes sense when delivery and operating conditions can be read side by side.
| Group | What to clarify |
|---|---|
| Project | Surveys, dimensioning, drawing and documentation planned. |
| Materials | Specified emitters, lines, piping, filtration and controls. |
| Infrastructure | Collection, pumping, energy and works considered. |
| Installation | Assembly, operation check and instructions included. |
| Operation | Routine, energy consumption, maintenance and replacements to be evaluated. |
Consider the usage period, not just the purchase.
The initial budget alone does not describe the cost over time. FAO recommends considering operation and maintenance when choosing the method. Organize who monitors the system, what activities need to be done and how failures will be identified, without adopting a generic useful life for all components.
Avoid accepting a payback deadline based solely on a promise of productivity or savings. An economic assessment needs property data, costs and explicit assumptions. This article does not present a price, percentage of savings or financial return, because there is no quote tailored to your area.
How to prepare the request.
Enter the municipality, crop, hectares, spacing and water source. Describe the existing structure and whether you intend to implement, expand or modernize it. A map and available analytics help contextualize demand. It is not necessary to send personal documents to understand these technical points.
In the conversation with Perin, confirm what data needs to be collected and what the scope of the proposal will be. If the order is just a replacement component, say that from the beginning. Prices, deadlines and availability are defined in consultation; the product page features categories, without advertising stock.
FAQ
Does Perin publish a fixed price per hectare?
No. It is necessary to know the area, planting, water, infrastructure and scope to discuss the budget. This page is not a quote or price list.
Is the lowest materials price the lowest system cost?
Not necessarily. You need to compare specifications, what is included, installation, operation and maintenance. Proposals with different deliverables are not directly equivalent.
